The window button story

Once upon a time, there existed an OS called Unbutnu
This OS had a great following, a truly  self-declared democratic organization.
One day the founder of this OS(Mark) decided that the window buttons will be on the left
Shit! What a fuckin mistake!
550 people liked and the rest 50 didn’t
50 people were enraged that they were not considered in this decision
People who agreed on this decision kept mum.
SnR of the internet falls drastically with gazillion of posts of “ZOMG! Unbutnu buttons on the left” A bug report was generated. Everyone scratches their head if it is really a bug?
The bitching starts on the bug report.
Mark commented on a bug report to explain that Unbutnu is not a democracy
Mistake #2, another fuckin mistake by Mark.

Millions of blog post again spring up out of nowhere criticizing Mark.
Meanwhile real developers of Unbutnu keep their concentration on improving Unbutnu
All the 50 people were red in anger that Unbutnu is not democracy. It wont revert back the buttons just because they said it. One supporter exclaimed “We have bigger issues to deal with rather than window button placement”
He was yelled back “You don’t understand anything. It’s about forgetting the community”
“What about the bigger issues like sleep, hibernate, driver supports”
“No! We need to make sure Mark treats the community well. Driver and sleep/hibernate isn’t a rocket science”
“but….. we are short of time, just 6 months release cycle”
“Community…. That matters more than anything else”

A hypothetical guy writes down this post
People who didn’t get the head-or-tails of this satire flame this hypothetical guy
He hides from the flames and gets back fixing bugs.
